VOLUNTARY STANDARD FUNERAL PLAN
Proof of Marriage to be supplied at on boarding / inception:
• Marriage Certificate
• Lebola Letter with Chief letter confirming traditional marriage
• If Life partners proof of this in the form of e.g. Utility bill with details of both main member and spouse or Medical aid membership or Birth Certificates of Children or Bond application or Rental Agreement
• If this cannot be provided the person will have to be added as an extended to the policy.
Take Note:
• No ex-spouses or ex-life partners can be covered as that relationship has been
terminated and there is no insurable interest according to law.
- Waiving of waiting period (Trial period) on death due to natural causes on a take-over policy can be waved on members where the proof of :
- previous underwriting by a reputable underwriter can be provided indicating the same cover amounts, terms and conditions
- as well as proof of premium payments for the previous 6 months paid over and received by the reputable underwriter and
- a copy of the cancellation letter to the previous underwriter and onfirmation of the cancellation from the previous underwriter
- Condition is that previous policy must have been underwritten through a reputable underwriter.
